Movie Review - Bahubali 2 - The Conclusion

BhaLi BhaLi BhaLi BhaLi Ra BhaLi...... Saaho Re Rajamouli....
What a treat this 170.51 minutes film is to movie lovers across the globe!!! Director S.S.Rajamouli weaved magic with his imagination and resources. This film will come to be known as the 'Kohinoor of Indian Cinema' and will probably be the only movie for which reviews would not matter as people will want to definitely watch it regardless of the reviews.
Right from the first frame till the last, audience will be spellbound watching this marvel of a movie, a sequel to Bahubali - The Beginning. No other film caught the imagination of the audience in the recent past as much as Bahubali did with just one curious question "why Kattapa killed Bahubali?" eating into their brains. That one single question did the whole marketing for the film. The screenplay is gripping and carries the audience to a different world through out the show. Vijayendra Prasad must be thrilled to see his story being presented so well by his director son. A great director is one who carefully selects his actors and moulds them to suit each character and fifty per cent of Rajamouli's success came from such spotless selection. Prabhas as Amarendra Bahubali/Mahendra Bahubali and Anushka as Devasena are stunningly smart and beautiful. It looked like they were born to do these characters. The entry of both of them were shot very impressively. The romance between them is so well portrayed. The subtle fun element created using Subba Raju as Kumara Verma is laudable given the fact that Bahubali is a seriously enjoyable story as we saw in the first part. Ramya Krishnan excelled as Sivagami and so did Sathya Raj as Kattappa both of whom are caught in between duty/dharma on side and attachment on the other side. Some of the scenes involving them and Bahubali are sure to touch the emotional chords of the audience and leave the weak hearts wet-eyed. Rana and Nasser played the wily plots admirably. Tamannaah could be seen only in the climax in this sequel.
The film is a visual wonder that makes the unreal look real using CGI and VFX. Kudos to the technical team of Bahubali.
The short and crispy conversations between characters are impactful and enjoyable. The sound track and music by M M Keeravani played a vital role in the presentation of the story.
All the faculties of film production ably guided by Rajamouli have done fantastic job in enthralling the audience and they get 100/100.
Certainly Rajamouli has raised the bar of film making with this work. The producers sure must be laughing their way to the bank for having kept their faith in Rajamouli. The fact that it took almost one minute to display the various brand partners is testimony that many corporates too wanted to en-cash Bahubali frenzy.
One last line - this film should not to be judged by collections alone as it is a great piece of work that deserves lot of appreciation for the efforts of Rajamouli, Prabhas, Rana et al.
