Creativity and Productivity
My comment in response to an article titled "2013: A time to introspect" by Sundeep Khanna in the Opinion column of Livemint.com on 3rd Jan 2014. The state need not support creativity and productivity of individuals. Agreed, but there is something called a platform and conducive atmosphere for these two qualities for individuals to explore. The state is solely responsible for the absence of such an atmosphere in this country. As an anecdote: the flower blooms only if there is a proper facility and suitable conditions. If the flower is not blooming, don't blame the flower, blame the gardener. In case of India, there are enough plants whose flowers are ready to bloom but is the state taking enough care to water and keep them alive, to say the least. Nevertheless, the subject matter of this column is worthy and means a lot. Hope the powers that be understand and create a suitable climate.
