Actions speak louder than words
I woke up to the unpalatable news on the front page of Mumbai edition of the 'leading' national daily that a MLA belonging to AIMIM has been suspended from Assembly for the remainder of the current session after he refused to chant ' BharatMataKiJai '. The MLA is reportedly considered as an 'anti-national'. The members who generally fight over every minor issue in the House were united in their voice to recommend suspension of this MLA. There is also a 'big' deb ate in the country on what should be done to those who do not want to chant BMKJ . While I am not attempting to question the 'collective wisdom' of the members nor supporting those who do not want to say Bharat Mata Ki Jai, it is time to question some of the elected representatives of various Houses in this country if they knew the National Anthem.
