Movie Review - Dictator (Telugu)

Image
Dubbed as the 99 th film for Balakrishna, it appears that he is somehow bent upon completing 100 films. Directed by Sriwaas, this is another high decibel, punch-dialogue driven film of Balakrishna. The story felt like a never ending saga with the hero delivering all dialogues in the same tone and diction irrespective of the scenes. That is one of the biggest drawbacks in the film. The story of the film feels like a mixed vegetable curry with the ‘vegetables’ being the movies Rajinikanth’s Basha, Surya’s Ghajini and Mahesh’s Dookudu. The story is about how India’s biggest business man fights against the organized crime in which businessmen are threatened by mafia that demanded protection money. Except for a few comedy scenes created around the characters played Hema( as Hema Patnaik) and Prithvi( as Mahesh Patro), the first half has nothing much to boast about. In one of the scenes, Balakrishna delivers a long dialogue highlighting the ‘greatness’ of movie actors and how they infl

Nagarjuna has made it again. Produced by Annapurna Studios, his production house, this movie will send the audience home in a happy and cheerful mood. The plot for this 145 minutes movie opens in Sivapuram, a remote and beautiful village called Sivapuram. Directed by Kalyan Krishna, we would get to see the beauty of countryside in Godavari districts. Nagarjuna has done a fabulous job in the dual roles he played as Bangarraju and Dr.Rammohan. His performance as Bangarraju is so lively that the audience would fall in love with the character and the actor. Supported by the highly talented Ramya Krishnan who played as his wife Satyabhama, both of them rocked the screen with laudable action. His other role as doctor Rammohan too is impressive. Lavanya Tripathi as Sita, wife of Rammohan, did her role very easily and naturally. Nagarjuna switched between the roles with ease and élan. Nagarjuna, true to his Manmathudu style has many female characters in the film namely, Anushka, Hamasanand

Movie Review - Naannaku Prematho (Telugu)

This film which is the 25 th for Jr.NTR doesn’t disappoint you to say the least. Given the credentials and track record of director Sukumar, the 168 minutes film may not be a match for his past films, (leave alone 1 Ninokkadine which was a damp squib). Sukumar always bases the story-line of his films on one simple popular belief and this film is no different. The entire story runs on the belief that every event, big or small, happening across the globe has an effect on something else, elsewhere in the world. This starts from the way the titles were presented. The film is about how the hero Abhiram(Jr. NTR) avenges to fulfill his father’s ( played by Rajendra Prasad) last wish, which is to witness the downfall of a villain Krishna Murthy Koutilya( played by Jagapathi Babu) who cheated him in the past. Jr. NTR played the role with all the honesty that the character needed. He lived the role except in the climax wherein it looked a bit weird and too unrealistic. His dances as usual a

Small yet powerful

(Reproduced from FB post dated 7th January 2016) If you thought what a small insect can do to a big plane of the size of Boeing 737, please reconsider your view. As per a news item in today's newspaper, "a bee delayed a passenger plane, operated by Indonesian carrier Garuda, for four hours after getting stuck in vital equipment and causing a problem with the aircraft's controls. The flight was scheduled to take off from Sumatra and head for Jakarta."  Interesting, isn't it !!!! Never underestimate the power of people or things or beings by their size or their position because they are powerful in their own way.

Salute the real heroes of India

(Reproduced from FB post dated 4th January 2016) My salutes to these real heroes of India who were martyred while fighting against the terrorists at Pathankot for the safety of our country - Lt.Col.Niranjan, Corporal Gurusevak, Lancenayak Phulwanth, Subedar Fateh Singh, Sepoys - Sanjeev Kumar, Jagadishchand and Mohitchand. While many of our leaders are busy finding ways to make money and acquire properties to lead ultra-luxurious lives at the cost of public money, we have such great men as these who fight constantly and sel flessly to protect us and the nation from invaders leaving their families behind.  These heroes have no agenda of their own except doing their duty and serving the nation. They come up the ranks through sheer hard-work and commitment with the sole aim of protecting the country.  On the other hand we have our political leaders who come to power through foul means and occupy positions given to them by the grand electorate. They plan elaborately for their sons and

What comes first - Process or Purpose

Many a times organizations are in a dilemma as to what comes first between purpose and process. Now, first things first - it is purpose that precedes process. Any process is basically created with a purpose in mind and a desired goal, both of which could vary from situation to situation and organization to organization. As long as the purpose is served, even if there is an occasional detour on the processes, it should not be a cause for concern. This does not undermine the importance of process but on the other hand emphasizes the fact that purpose is at the core of any process. To run the daily business, however small or big the same may be, managements may devise any number of processes for the sake of having a control mechanism in place and to ensure that these processes ultimately drive the business in the right and expected direction. All businesses have a purpose and that is to serve the customers. There could arise several occasions for any organization when the managements
